I found this exercise very hard. The main problem being that one’s business card is supposed to express something about yourself (your “brand,” though the fact that our society has advanced to the point where people consider themselves brands makes me shiver), and I don’t know what it is I want to express. ITP is a toybox full of stuff I’m learning to use, and though I have a vague idea where I’m going with it, I certainly haven’t defined it to the point where I can start thinking about my brand. It’s hard to design something when you don’t know what the thing you’re designing is supposed to say.
So I took the opportunity instead to stretch a bit and push my edge. I’m shy, so I thought I’d make something bold. I have a bit of an old-fashioned design aesthetic, so I thought I’d make something contemporary. I’m usually understated, so I thought I’d be overstated.
Line them up side-by-side, and you get this (they overlap):

I don’t know if I’d use this in real life, but it was a good experiment.
